Operating since 2017, their previous brand had been created as an interim measure for the launch of the organisation, and was in need of a complete overhaul. Nuco were approached in 2019 to create a visual identity that better reflected HDRUK’s current standing in the healthcare sector, and their unwavering vision of transforming public health. A product that offered a fully recyclable, biodegradable barrier paper that shared many of the properties that made plastic the usual choice for food and cosmetic packaging. We were tasked with creating the brand behind the product. A brand that displayed a clear social conscience that customers could trust to help achieve their own sustainability goals. The Sylvicta name has its origins in the forests of Kent, the home of the Chartham paper mill. Derived from the latin name for forest (silva) and the word invicta, the historic emblem of the county, Sylvicta literally translates as ‘the forest that conquers’.
