Project: Brand development for Famous Flames

Soul Enterprise’s latest restaurant brought Deep South American flavours to the fast-food market. With a menu less familiar to customers this side of the pond, and consisting of traditional stateside dishes such as crispy soft-shell crab, Cajun popcorn shrimp, and buttermilk chicken and waffles, Famous Flames needed an identity that brought a sense of familiarity to the British market. Something that instantly said “fast food”, but with an edge that let you know you were going to be getting something a little different.

The obvious choice was to go with the archetypal fast food colour combination of yellow and red. We hand crafted a typographic logo that represented the frenetic energy and flames of the kitchen, pairing it with a simpler wordmark to allow maximum flexibility across a variety of materials.
