Client: Arjowiggins
Project: Sylvicta

The Sylvicta story started with one simple premise. “We want nothing less than to save the world from plastic waste.”

Arjowiggins had developed a revolutionary paper based product, that challenged the ethos of plastic and multi-material packaging. A product that offered a fully recyclable, biodegradable barrier paper that shared many of the properties that made plastic the usual choice for food and cosmetic packaging.

We were tasked with creating the brand behind the product. A brand that displayed a clear social conscience that customers could trust to help achieve their own sustainability goals.

The Sylvicta name has its origins in the forests of Kent, the home of the Chartham paper mill. Derived from the latin name for forest (silva) and the word invicta, the historic emblem of the county, Sylvicta literally translates as ‘the forest that conquers’.

We created the entire visual identity for Sylvicta, including comprehensive brand guidelines, marketing collateral and sample packs, ‘fake’ examples of packaging to help the sales team sell into different markets, social media campaigns and much more.
